The app keeps crashing, now I cant retrieve my folders.

This latest update wrecked the app. I lost a huge amount of writing. I USED to use this daily - if Im ever able to recover my writing, I cant use this since I cant trust it.

1. Its great, customizable, and can be a great tool for private notetakers. Ive used it for years with no problems back when it was called writeroom. I feel like the updates have fallen off though and doubt its ever going to work with the multitask on ipads. 2. Desktop and mobile apps are NOT the same app, you would think theyd at least let you login to your dropbox on the desktop version for the price 3. Very annoyingly, an emergency folder will appear if you use the home button to exit the app while reading.

Does NOT work with iOS 9 update. Cannot access any files - lost data! Would give a negative rating if available. Was told update fix was coming "soon" - 2 weeks ago. Poor!

Keyboard keeps disappearing and the app keeps kicking me out. Looking for another alternative for my writing!

I panicked today when my files wouldnt open and came here to reviews to see if anyone commented before contacting the developer. Silly me, clear as day in the app description developers say theyre aware & working on a fix. Dont delete the app, they say. Our files are still there! Just hoping to save others a heart attack. I recently lost everything from a dream journaling app when it was pulled. It hadnt saved to a cloud & all is gone. So...Im paranoid now and trying to back-up better. This was my first writing app and I still find it useful. Its rather dear to my heart and even beyond recovering my files I hope it stays viable.

Te apps deos not work on my iPad aire

Like others on here, I depend on this App on a daily basis for work. I use it for logging my mileage for work and for note taking. Since IOS9 update, the App crashes when opening a file. There are times when the App does not crash. When this occurs, the file is opened, but you cant see the text because the font is not rendering on the screen and the App is in file edit mode. You get a blank keyboard with no keys. I am upset. I have found a slight work around. I downloaded the Free version of Write, with the Ads. Open Write 2 Open a File that I need info from, cant see text in file. Perform Select All and Copy Open Write Free Create New File Paste Text from Write 2 File Save Write File Outstanding issues IOS9 : App crashes, File text not rendering fonts, blank keyboard in Edit mode. I tried to create a New File and got Functional errors. File folder view mode Keyboard appears with keys. IOS8: Dropbox Sync Conflict Error caused replication of saved text file. Each time you edit a file, the file is saved, a Dropbox Sync Conflict occurs, and the file is replicated. If you edit a file 10 times, you will end up with 10 copies of the same file. Unsure if this still exists in IOS 9 but I suspect it still does. This app is useless in IOS9. I looked at Reviews and see a pattern of issues with IOS Updates. Note to author: Please stay on top of updating App prior to IOS Updates otherwise you will lose customers. It appears you are not getting early releases of IOS to proactively QA App issues before GA Release. Your App is popular, and a lot of people depend on it for their Daily Lives.

Not working since ios9 upgrade. Cant access any files at all. Vital information. PLEASE FIX ASAP. Where is update? 5 stars when working but right now? None.

I really like this app. Perfect for my needs. However, since the last upgrade on my iPad, it wont open any of my documents. I need those documents and Im looking forward to the fix. There are things I dont trust to the cloud and this is one of them.

I lost many hours of work because apparently I left the app open and switched to another without hitting "save" manually. After a while it decided to close the document in the background without telling me or saving it. Now there is no way of completing my deadline. This is an instant delete and though I like the app in theory, how could I ever willing risk that kind of disaster again? Be very careful. I strongly advise you use some other program because this is obviously a fatally unacceptable flaw.

This is a great and versatile app! I work as a surgical RN. Part of my job is keeping up with the preferences of the MDs I work with. This is the only app that allows one to make nested directories. So I can define a directory as general Surgeons then have sub directories for the individual MDs with notes for the specific procedures they perform. An added bonus is access to DropBox. Which enables me to back up my files or share them with my fellow nurses. Great app developer! They actually respond to your emails! Wishlist for future updates. File folder sync with DropBox. Direct sharing with other Idevice users either WiFi or BlueTooth. Auto update device notes with DropBox after changes are made offline on device and user connects Via WiFi.

I use this app all the time to save important information. The filing system is easy to use. The latest update works great.

This app is the best ever for notes, which is easily organized, quickly accessible, synchronize beautifully w my DropBox app. Customer service quickly responded to my complaint and fixed the bugs I reported for the new iPhone 6S. Could NOT live without this app, it makes my work easier, using it for quick references of my notes.

I love using this app and all its features. I use it daily and record everything there. It is so easy to use and Id recommend it to everyone!

I love this app. It’s my pen and pad whether on a train from the airport to downtown, in a meeting, or at 3 AM for that moment of inspiration, I write here as I would in a journal. I also greatly value the responsiveness of the designer—a welcome rare thoughtful human presence in an increasingly mundane techno world.

Terrific app for on the fly note-taking. Easy to use/access. The link to Dropbox is a plus.
